Eligibility

Eligibility    

 

A student-athlete must have at least a 2.0 or higher and be passing 4 classes to compete in any sports.

 

CIF Rules state you must be passing 4 classes. If you are not, you are automatically ineligible.

 

Almont League states you must be passing 4 classes and have a 2.0 or higher. If you do not have a 2.0 and are passing 4 classes, you will be able to have one quarter of being on probation. If you are still below 2.0 in the next quarter, you are ineligible.

 

Eligibility is determined by a student-athlete's past two report cards. Add/Drop dates are 16 days after the grading period has ended. Here are the grading periods that determine seasonal eligibility:

 

Fall Sports

Grades from the previous year: Quarter 4, Semester 2, and Summer School before the season begins in August, and then Quarter 1 during the season.

For playoffs- Quarter 1 grades. Add/Drop date may affect playoff eligibility.

 

Winter Sports 

Grades from Quarter 1 and Semester 1 before the season begins the 1st week of February. 

For playoffs-  Semester 1 grades. Add/Drop date may affect playoff eligibility.

 

Spring Sports

Grades from Semester 1 before the season starts in February, and Quarter 3 grades.

For playoffs- Quarter 3 grades. Add/Drop date may affect playoff eligibility.
