Hello Matadors! If you would like to join or continue to be a part of the California Scholarship Federation (CSF), please pick up an application from the Business & Activities Office and pay the CSF fee at the student bank.

*It is important that all CSF application fees are done during the following days and times:

Bank Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:00 AM- 4:00 PM

Wednesday: 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Each graduating class has a window for submitting applications:

Class of 2024: (2/05 - 2/16) 12th Grade

Class of 2025: (2/19 - 3/01) 11th Grade

Class of 2026: (3/04 - 3/15) 10th Grade

Class of 2027: (3/18 - 3/29) 9th Grade (Associate Members)

Students may not submit their application before or after their corresponding window

The California Scholarship Federation, Inc. (CSF) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to recognize and encourage academic achievement among high school students in California. The benefits of becoming a CSF life member are recognition during the graduation ceremony and an indication of CSF life membership status on permanent academic records and transcripts, which may help students stand out among other college applicants. In short, CSF recognizes students for their outstanding academic performance.

To apply for CSF membership please pick up an application from the Business & Activities Office, complete the application and attach last semester’s report card or official transcript ONLY, and pay the CSF fee at the student bank.
To qualify for CSF membership this semester, follow these guidelines and use the course list provided below:

You must earn a minimum of 10 points from last semester’s grades.

The first 4 points must be from LIST I.
The first 7 points (including the first 4 points described in point “a”) must be from LIST I and LIST II.
The remaining points may come from any list (LIST I, II or III).

You may use no more than 5 courses to qualify.
No CSF points are given for physical education, courses taken in lieu of physical

education, subjects repeated to improve grade, courses involving clerking and

office/teaching assisting, and courses taken on a pass/fail basis.

Points are granted as follows:

A=3 CSF points

B=1 CSF point

C=0 CSF points

D, F, or U in any course, even in one cannot be used to qualify, and disqualifies you for this semester.
One additional point shall be granted for a grade of A or B in an A.P., IB, or Honors courses, up to a maximum of two such points per semester.

Remember:

You must reapply each semester for CSF membership.
Semester membership is based on work done in the previous regular semester. (Summer school may not be used).

The following is information on how to become a CSF Life Member. A CSF member with 4 semesters of CSF membership, during students’ last 6 semesters of high school (10th, 11th, 12th academic grades) with at least one semester using senior grades, will qualify to be CSF Life Member, and therefore will be eligible for a graduation stole and cord senior year. Academic grades earned in the 9th grade qualify a student to be an associate member for the semester. Grades earned in the 9th grade DO NOT count toward Life Member eligibility.
