Each year the Alhambra Education Foundation raises much needed funds to support education in the Alhambra Unified School District. On March 27 , 2010, AEF will host its annual "Service To Education" Awards Dinner. It will be held at Almansor Court and begin at 6:00PM. Many New Awards for the Matadors
San Gabriel High School has received many tremendous awards in the past few days. They are: The Almont League Sportsmanship Award. Several top awards in the Mathematics, Science, and Engineering Achievement Competition. We will compete in the regionals at CSULB. Five students going to State Debate Championships. Our Cheer Teams first trip to National Cheer Finals (in Anaheim, March 26), Five Sweepstakes Awards at the Temple CIty Parade. Great job Matadors!

8th Grade Information
We are very excited to be welcoming the Class of 2014! We value each of our families and will do everything possible to make the transition to San Gabriel High School a memorable and successful experience. February 18th is our Parent Information Night. This is an opportunity for parents to learn about the programs at SGHS, begin planning the classes students will need to fulfill both graduation and a-g requirements, and meet our excellent guidance counselors. Please see the attached for a list of our activities.

Turn Your E-Waste into Money for SGHS
The San Gabriel PTSA is proud to announce its 2nd annual e-waste event Saturday, March 6 and Sunday, March 7 between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm. Bring us your unwanted electronics. Tell your neighbors, relatives, and friends. Bring us your tvs and computer monitors early. We will be happy to store them!

School Starts Early in 2010!
School will begin one week early in 2010. Our first day of school for students in the Alhambra Unified School District will be Tuesday, August 31st. This means Priority Registration will begin Tuesday, August 16th for Seniors. Also part of the 2010-11 calendar year will be one-full week off during Thanksgiving week. We will provide more information in coming weeks.
